EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: Housing Project – Land for Accommodation Rarotonga, Cook Islands
The Major Projects and Procurement Support (MPPS) Division, Ministry of Finance and Economic Management, invites Expressions of Interest from landowners interested in renting, leasing or selling land to Government for the development of affordable accommodation for Government shipping employees and their families.
Land should preferably:
Be at least ¼ acre (approximately 1,012m²);
Be relatively flat and require minimal site preparation;
Have good road access and reasonable access to utilities and essential services;
Be located in Rarotonga;
Be suitable for residential development; and
Have clearly established land tenure.
For rental or lease arrangements, a minimum term of 10 years is required.
Interested landowners should provide:
Name and contact details;
Location and size of the land;
Land tenure details and supporting documentation;
Whether the land is offered for rent, lease or sale;
Proposed price/rental and key terms; and
Photographs of the land, if available.
Submissions will be assessed based on site suitability, accessibility, infrastructure, proposed terms and overall development feasibility.
Submission of an EOI does not commit Government to rent, lease or purchase any property. Government reserves the right to assess, negotiate and select proposals that best meet the requirements of the project.
