Cook Islands Energy Update

Where we are now

1.jpg

Latest Update as of: 20 May 2026

Data is our best estimates, based on available information

We have fuel and our next shipments are confirmed. The global situation is tight - so we are asking everyone in the Cook Islands to help make our fuel go futher.

Rarotonga

Rarotonga has sufficient fuel stocks with shipments for all fuels due to arrive as anticipated. There is no need to panic-buy — buying more than you need puts supply at risk for everyone.

Aitutaki

Fuel was delivered to Aitutaki on 11 May, and has been discharged to fuel retailers and Te Mana Uira o Araura. Aitutaki fuel supply remains stable.
The community is asked to conserve energy and not buy more than they need.
