The Ministry of Finance and Economic Management has gained successful accreditation to the Adaptation Fund and the Green Climate Fund.
Adaptation Fund Accreditation
MFEM was accreditated by the Adaptation Fund on the 14th July 2016. MFEM was the second National Implementing Entity (NIE) to be successfully accredited through the funds streamlined accreditation process for smaller implementing entities, Micronesia Conservation Trust was the first NIE to gain accreditation. as such MFEM became the second pacific island to be accredited to the Fund, representing a major achievement within the Pacific Region.
