In January 2017 compared with January 2016:
Visitor arrivals (9,976) were up 1,750. The biggest changes were in arrivals from:
- New Zealand (up 1,058)
- USA (up 373)
- Europe (up 213).
Overseas trips by Cook Islands residents (1,412) were up by 12.9%
