In December 2017 compared with December 2016:
Visitor arrivals (14,301) were up 1,211. The biggest changes were in arrivals from:
- New Zealand(up 745)
- Australia(up 390)
- French Polynesia (up 32).
Overseas trips by Cook Islands residents (2,236) were down by 3.9%
