In August 2017 compared with August 2016:
Visitor arrivals (15,873) were up 1,431. The biggest changes were in arrivals from:
- New Zealand (up 794)
- Australia (up 160)
- Other Country (up 159).
Overseas trips by Cook Islands residents (1,089) were down by 10.4%
