In May 2017 compared with May 2016:
Visitor arrivals (13,423) were up 1,161. The biggest changes were in arrivals from:
- New Zealand (up 901)
- Australia (up 134)
- Canada (up 127).
Overseas trips by Cook Islands residents (902) were down by 16.3%
