In September 2016 compared with September 2015:
Visitor arrivals (14,859) were up 2,796. The biggest changes were in arrivals from:
- New Zealand (up 2,644)
- Asia (up 79)
- Canada (up 44).
Overseas trips by Cook Islands residents (849) were down by 7.1%
