In August 2016 compared with August 2015:
Visitor arrivals (114,442) were up 1,784. The biggest changes were in arrivals from:
- New Zealand (up 1,864)
- Europe (up 123)
- Other Country (up 56).
Overseas trips by Cook Islands residents (986) were up by 2.5%
