Key Facts


Total arrivals for the month of July 2021 was 13,100 of which 12,405 which were visitors and 695 are returning Cook Islands residents.

On May 17th 2021, New Zealand and Cook Islands two way travel bubble commenced under a Quarantine-Free Travel arrangement which means that travelers will need to have been in New Zealand for 14 consecutive days prior to departure, ensuring all necessary health and border measures are instituted to the highest standards of protection against Covid-19.  The total departures for July 2021 was 11,820 of which 810 were Cook Islands Residents who left for Education, short term, or permanently.
