The Senior Policy Advisor is a newly created policy role with a focus on a competitive market environment focused on reducing barriers to a market-led economy. The ideal candidate will have some understanding of economics and/or drafting legislation and policy for that market environment. Senior Tax Auditor

  • Have experience in VAT/GST and Income Tax assessment, auditing, taxpayer interviews and case management, at a senior level.
  • Has a tertiary qualification in accounting or another related area.
  • Has a high level of literacy in business accounts and risk assessment for tax purposes, advanced skills in computer and data processing, competent doing own research and analysis, time management and effective communication.
  • Have a high level of knowledge and understanding of Cook Islands and/or New Zealand taxation policy and commercial structures.
  • Has the ability to develop and mentor staff and administer task schedules.
