Legal Counsel - Tax & Customs

The Revenue Management Division of MFEM, Rarotonga is seeking to employ a Solicitor.  

The successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing and drafting legislation, providing advice on tax and Customs issues, and preparing and lodging cases at Court.

The appointee will report directly to the Treasurer and must:

• be qualified to practise law in the Cook Islands or any other Commonwealth country;

• have practical experience in legislative drafting would be advantageous;

• the ability to plan and prioritise effectively and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
