We are officially known as the Cook Islands Statistics Office (CISO) or Stats Office.

Our mission is: "To be the key producer of statistics"

Visit the CISO website at www.stats.gov.ck for up to date quarterly and annual statsitics on:

• Population estimates, births, deaths & marriages and other vital statistics

• Inflation rates, average prices of selected commodities and other consumer price index indicators

• Value of imports and exports by standard industrial trade classifications, balance of trade and other trade statistics

• Tax collected by categories, industry and taxation statistics

• Domestic banking statistics on loans, deposits, interest rates and other banking statistics

• Miscellaneous statistics on climate, newly registered motor vehicles, aircraft movements, building approvals and so forth.

All the above are published in our Quarterly and Annual Bulletins.  The CPI is also a publication on its own.

We produce on annual basis:

• National Accounts statistics on gross domestic product (GDP) at current or average prices and so forth

• Public Sector Accounts on government overall total revenue and expenditure, current revenue by type and so forth

We also produce:

• Monthly, quarterly and annual visitor and resident arrivals and departures, tourist accommodation statistics and other tourism statistics

We also have the latest Household Expenditure Survey Report 2005-06
